How long has your business been open?
I opened in August 2019 but I have been painting for 15 years.
Tell us how you got started
I bought a large cabinet and thought I’d try my hand at painting it I enjoyed it so much it became my hobby and now my business.
How long have you been carrying Zibra brushes? What is your best selling Zibra brush?
April 8, 2021 I applied and accepted with Zibra. My best selling Zibra brush is PalmPro and Zibra Round.
What products do you sell (other than Zibra)? Do you also refinish furniture to sell?
I am an Elite retailer for Dixie Belle. I carry their whole line including Silk All-in-One mineral paint and the Belles and Whistles line. I also carry ChalkPro paintbrushes.
What is 1 unique thing about your business?
What makes me unique? I refinish my own pieces and I do customs for clients in my hometown. I think it comes down to my style of painting I look for detail and I love adding dimension.
What advice do you have for someone starting out as a small business owner?
My advice would be to go for it! It may seem overwhelming at first, start small. And don’t get discouraged growing a business takes time and lots of effort. You can do it too!

If you weren’t a small business owner, what would you be doing for a profession?
If I wasn’t a small business owner, I would like to get into Interior designing. I just love helping people style their homes.
